The Mitutoyo micrometer head with fine-feeding spindle is constructed of hardened tool steel, and the measuring face is precision lapped for better accuracy. The thimble extends at a much smaller rate, 0.25mm per revolution, than conventional micrometer Head for more precise positioning and measurement.
