The E1 Mahr Federal Maxum III or Maxum Plus digital indicator is connected to the 2239036 RS232 SmartCable™ gage interface using a high quality 6-pin connector. The SmartCable™ connects directly to the gage - no additional cables required. This Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable™ connects the E1 Mahr Federal Maxum III or Maxum Plus digital indicator to a computer 9-pin serial port and will allow the gage to send data to communication and terminal emulation programs (i.e. HyperTerminal) or any SPC data collection software program. This single input RS232 data acquisition gage interface led the industry in offering users a single-input interface option at a time when manufacturers wanted you to buy more ports at each station.
This SmartCable™ gage interface is capable of sending standard "read gage" (R01) commands from a host computer. The Mahr Federal Maxum III or Maxum Plus RS232 SmartCable™ can send data in several modes; read only, continuous, and others. The SmartCable™ RS232 quickly configures itself through simple DIP switches or host commands.
The SmartCable™ RS232 interface is designed with the harsh shop-floor environment in mind. A detailed operation manual is included with each SmartCable™ including instructions on how to configure your Mahr Federal gage for the proper output format. Six foot cable length. Includes 300-10E power supply.
