The Adhesion Tester is a portable, hand-operated device that measures the force required to pull a specific test diameter of coating from the substrate using hydraulic pressure. The measured pressure is displayed on the 5-inch touch screen and represents the adhesion strength of the coating to the substrate. This device evaluates the adhesion (peel strength) of a coating by determining the maximum tensile force it can withstand before it peels off. The Adhesion Tester visualises fractures caused by cracks along the weakest layer in the system of carrier, adhesive, coating layers, and substrate.

Equipped with an electronically controlled hydraulic pump, Adhesion Tester enables precise and repeatable application of the required tensile force. Thanks to the selection of different dolly sizes, the device can be flexibly adapted to different test requirements, making it particularly versatile. The pulling speed, load limit and holding time can be customised to meet specific requirements for different materials and applications.

In addition, the Adhesion Tester offers a USB interface for easy transfer of measurement data to external devices. The data can be saved in a practical CSV format for easy further processing and analysis.
