The LS6000 is an economical, hopper and grain level switch and sensor that can sense a wide range of liquid and dry materials. Its robust design and durable Delrin insulator make this unit well-suited for use in dry materials, such as powders, sand, aggregate, grain, or other bulk solids. Unlike rotating paddles, vibrating forks, or other mechanical instruments, the LS6000 bin and powder level switch and sensor have no moving parts. There are no motors to burn up, bearings to wear out, or parts to jam. Proprietary radio frequency (RF) technology provides an excellent level of measurement and stability while having the ability to ignore significant product buildup, thus eliminating the need for recalibration.
All the necessary calibration indicators are on-board so all you need to calibrate the LS6000 bin and powder level switch and sensor is a small screwdriver. Fail-safe electronics provide peace of mind. Babbitt also offers Audible & Visual Alarm Boxes that can be used to accompany any of single-point, dual-point, or multi-point level switches. Alarm boxes provide simple and reliable warnings of high or low-level alarm conditions in tanks, vessels, silos, hoppers, sumps, chutes, and interface applications.
