The Ashly Audio AW 3.2P is a compact 3" 2-way wall-mount speaker designed to place sound in tight spaces where bigger speakers may not be suitable. The AW-3.2P delivers high-quality sound in a small package and is ideal for small retail stores, restaurants, conference rooms and classrooms. A proprietary Directivity-Optimized Crossover provides a wider, more even "sweet spot" for consistent area coverage. Its IP52 rated enclosure also makes it suitable for outdoor areas such as patios and entryways. Custom speaker optimization presets for download when AW Speakers are used with Ashly DSP and DSP-enabled amplifiers. Sold in pairs. Wall Mounts are included.
For this type of speaker, music and speech are equally important. Both rely on a large "sweet spot" and off-axis intelligibility. Many speakers strive only for ON-axis frequency response and pay too little attention to OFF-axis system response. Directivity Optimization, proprietary approach to crossover design, significantly improves vertical axis response. More listeners on the extreme left and right can hear the spoken word better. Music in a restaurant or bar is more immersive and less directional. DOC avoids the lock-step "studio monitor" configuration that is less than optimal for longer-throw applications and creates a noticeably wider sweet spot that is perfect for speech throughout a room, patio or bar area.
