The Altelix Cable Modem Enclosure is a vented fan-cooled weatherproof enclosure designed to provide added security from vandalism and protection from harsh environments for Arris® SURFboard® modems.
Rugged Polycarbonate + ABS Construction
This sleek enclosure is molded out of UV-resistant Polycarbonate + ABS, an industrial-grade plastic with greater strength and durability than standard ABS. It features a gasketed hinged door with dual latches, a stainless steel security screw, and provision for a padlock. Integrated mounting feet simplify installation. It meets or exceeds NEMA 3R, 3RX, and IP24.
Cooling Fan Ventilation
This enclosure features dual 3" vents and a thermostat-controlled cooling fan. The low noise, high airflow fan helps maintain lower internal temperatures. The fan turns on when the internal temperature reaches 100°F (38°C) and turns off when it drops to 79°F (26°C). Rain shrouds on the front door keep rainwater from entering the enclosure.
Plug and Play Setup
The Altelix Cable Modem enclosure provides easy plug-and-play installation. Once the enclosure is mounted, attach the Arris® SURFboard® cable modem to the internal mounting bracket. Once seated on the mounting bracket, a thumb clip keeps it securely in place. Plug the Arris® SURFboard power supply into the pre-wired 120VAC power outlet then plug the enclosure's 5-foot power cord into a 120VAC power outlet and you are up and running. Cable grommets on the enclosure allow coax and Ethernet cables to be connected to the modem. This enclosure is compatible with the following Arris® SURFboard® modems:

RF Transparent Desig
The non-metallic design of the enclosure and equipment mounting plate is RF transparent and will not interfere with the WiFi signal range or coverage pattern of Arris® SURFboard WiFi cable modem models.
Complete with Cable Grommets and Glands and Wire Management Straps
For convenience, the included accessory kit contains cable grommets and glands, wall anchors, zip ties, hook-and-loop wire management straps, door door-locking key and more.
Mounting
The enclosure can be wall-mounted using the included wall anchors.
