Send data directly to Excel - No Software Wedge RequiredThis Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS SmartCable USB Keyboard single gage interface connects the Imada ZT, ZP, Z2, HTG2, and TX2 Series Digital Force Gauge to a computer and sends real-time data to Excel or other spreadsheet programs. Connects this Imada Series Digital Force Gauge to the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface using a 26-pin cable connector - no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the SmartCable Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the SmartCable gage interface to be identified as a keyboard device that can send real-time data to any Microsoft Windows application (like Excel) or your Explorer based SPC program - no complicated software wedge required. The SmartCable Keyboard will make the Imada ZT, ZP, Z2, HTG2, and TX2 Series Digital Force Gauge readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect SPC data into a Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet applications, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.
Readings can be triggered by the following:
- Pressing the Send button on the Imada Digital Force Gauge
- Pressing the button on the SmartCable Keyboard
- Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)
A detailed operation manual is included with this SmartCable Keyboard gage interface. Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the SmartCable Keyboard to the default settings on this Imada Series Digital Force Gauge. Make sure both the SmartCable gage interface and Imada Digital Force Gauge are set to the same values. Refer to the specific Imada Digital Force Gauge user instruction manual for more information on external communication.
LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable Keyboard. This SmartCable Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
