PREMIUM drill bits are treated at 1,196°C and nitro-carburized at 510°C which yields a hardness much greater than high speed steel. They are more resistant to the heat generated during drilling, which prevents the bit from deforming. They are highly recommended for drilling on high hardness steels such as stainless steel. Made of high moly steel featuring a 135° split point so the user can quickly and accurately drill without having to punch the spot first. They combine the double protection of great lubrication obtained by black oxide coating found on HSS drill bits with nitride's abrasion resistance. This combination makes them ideal for drilling steels in general, and non-ferrous and non-metallic materials such as plastics, woods, rubbers, etc.
