The Computer is More Stable in the Wired Mode
The TD2 Thunderbolt 3 Plus is equipped with a 1000Mbps LAN port. It can convert your computer to the wired mode by following the 2 steps below:
- Connect the TD2 Thunderbolt 3 Plus to your computer via the Thunderbolt 3 interface
- Connect the TD2 Thunderbolt 3 Plus to a router or a switch via the 1000Mbps LAN port
Note:The network interface provides a wired network only for your computer, which means the TD2 Thunderbolt 3 plus is still a direct attached storage and can't convert itself to a network-attached storage.

Intelligent, Energy-saving Design
With its automatic power-on design, TD2 Thunderbolt 3 benefits from its intelligent approach to energy conservation. Once your computer is powered off or set to sleep, TD2 Thunderbolt 3 Plus will automatically enter sleep mode. When you switch your computer back on, the device will exist in sleep mode. During sleep, only the hard drive and the fan stop running, while other functions operate normally. In case of an accidental power outage, TD2 Thunderbolt 3 Plus will power on automatically when the power supply is reconnected.
