Until now many rackmount LTO SAS connected tape products were generic repurposed IT systems or otherwise design-compromised with low-cost components. The SymplyLTO Rackmount SAS tape drives delivers an affordable environmentally friendly solution that businesses can rely on for backup and archiving of data. All SymplyLTO Rackmount SAS drives are fully compatible with Linear Tape File System (LTFS) software that enables a familiar drag and drop interface, allowing users to move files to tape storage in the same as they would with a conventional hard drive solution. LTFS can also reduce the need for specialist backup/archive software, allowing different users to easily interchange data on Mac, Windows, and Linux operating systems.

3: Always maintain at least three (3) copies of your data.
2: Store your copies across at least two (2) different storage mediums
1: Store at least one (1) of your copies at an offsite location.
