We understand that pedestrians trust their safety to street crossing signs. That's why we take the utmost care to use only high-intensity LEDs beacons which are exceptionally noticeable by drivers day and night. Solar panels are the most upto-date technology with electronics to maintain power levels through rain, shine, sleet, or snow.
The Crosswalk Push Button activates the Rectangular Rapid Flash Beacon (RRFB) wirelessly using the K&K Systems CrossTalk device. The RRFB activates and begins to flash to warn drivers of the crossing pedestrians when the push button is pressed or the Bollard is activated.
Push Button activation puts safety at the pedestrians' fingertips. It wirelessly activates the beacons via the CrossTalk Controller to flash for a preprogrammed amount of time.
The Bollard Sensor uses an infrared light beam to trigger the crosswalk lighting system. A pair of Bollards is placed at each end of a crosswalk. When a pedestrian passes between the two Bollards, the beam between the units is broken and activates the crosswalk Sign Alert. The Bollard is will activate the crosswalk signal even if the push button is not pressed.
