he JBL CSM-32 3 x 2 Stereo Public Address Mixer is a digital commercial mixer for conferencing, retail, and hospitality applications. The mixer features three stereo music inputs with bass and treble equalizers and one line input for connecting the mixer to a building's alarm system. The mixer also features one microphone input with phantom power, gain, and a ducker that can lower the volume of the music when making announcements.
The unit features two stereo outputs with zone equalizers, active crossovers, and separate subwoofer outs. An additional music-only mono output is provided for telephone music-on-hold systems. Designed with a simple analog style control panel, a knob switches between audio from source 1, audio from source 2, and remote control of the mixer. The unit does not require a computer to operate. An included security plate can be installed over the front panel to prevent changes to the unit's controls once configured.
The mixer works with CSR remote controllers, allowing you to use a remote to select the source and adjust the volume of each zone. Additional output zones may be added to the system by connecting multiple CSM mixers together using a Cat5 cable plugged into the unit's RJ45 link ports. With the above features, the mixer provides flexible options for different commercial sound applications.
LevelGuard
LevelGuard optimizes the compression of incoming source signals to keep the overall output signal under control. The threshold of the LevelGuard is adjustable by turning the threshold pot on the front of the mixer
AutoWarmth
The AutoWarmth automatically optimizes the tonal balance and musical character of incoming source signals. The threshold of the AutoWarmth is adjustable by turning the threshold pot on the back of the mixer
Mic Minimum
The mic minimum trim pot sets the minimum output volume level for the microphone. The main mic volume control knob will not go below this level, ensuring the microphone will be heard during announcements
Source 1 Priority and Priority Hold
The Source 1 Priority on/off button determines whether Source 1 will override sources 2 and 3. The priority hold pot adjusts the time it takes for the other input sources to take effect after the priority source is finished playing
Limiter
A built in limiter prevents the signal from clipping
Mono and Stereo Operation
A push button switches the output of the mixer between mono and stereo
Music Volume Ducking for Microphone Announcements
The mixer allows you to adjust the ducking depth sensitivity of the music volume while using the microphone input to make announcements. The ducking depth sensitivity can be set between cutting the music out completely to no ducking at all during announcements
