The fertilizer tank is very simple but very effective. It can be installed in-line with your system or around a bypass valve to control the rate of fertilizer added. There is no minimum GPM as the water simply displaces the fertilizer and adds it into your flow. This is a quantitative injector unlike like a Venturi which is proportional. It will apply a specific amount versus a specific ratio of fertilizer.

To use the fertilizer tank, simply unscrew the cap and fill with the amount of fertilizer you want to deliver to your field or irrigation zone. As the system starts, the air vent on top of the tank will bleed out any air bubbles allowing the tank to completely fill with water. The best practice for using the tank is to water is to use the "3-step" application for fertilizing. The first step is to apply water so the fertilizer doesn't run off. Next, apply the fertilizer. Finally, let the system run again with just water to flush your line and dilute the fertilizer applied to the soil.
