FRC (Fire Research Corp.), FCA540-M15, Focus Twist-Lock Side Mount Pull/Up Pole, 1500W 240V
The Side Mount Pull-Up pole has a outer tube that qualifies as an NFPA compliant handrail. This grab-handle is grooved to provide a secure grip even when wearing gloves. The outer tube is the full length of the pole and it has an internal brake that slows the extension pole during lowering. The pole is raised from the top by pulling up from above the safety twist lock.
Fire Research Focus model FCA540-M15 side mount pull up telescopic light shall be installed. The light pole shall be anodized aluminum and have a knurled twist lock mechanism to secure the extension pole in position. The extension pole shall rotate 360 degrees. An internal brake shall slow the extension pole during lowering. The outer pole shall be a grooved aluminum extrusion and qualify as an NFPA compliant handrail. The pole mounting brackets shall have a 3-1/2" offset. Wiring shall extend from the pole bottom with a 4' retractile cord. The lamphead shall have one (1) quartz halogen 1500 watt 240 volt bulb. The bulb will draw 6.25 amps and generate 35,000 lumens. The bulb shall be accessible through the front. The lamphead shall direct 50 percent of the light onto the action area while providing 50 percent to illuminate the working area. The lamphead angle of elevation shall be adjustable at a pivot in the mounting arm and the position locked with a round knurled locking knob. The lamphead shall incorporate heat-dissipating fins and be no more than 5-1/4" deep by 3-3/8" high by 15" wide. Lamphead and mounting arm shall be powder coated white. The floodlight shall be UL listed as a scene light for fire service use.
