Connection Technology Center, SB242-6A, SB242 Series Dual Input and Output Vibration Switch Box, Stainless Steel Enclosure, 6 Sensor Inputs, User Defined Input with Spring Cage Terminal Blocks
Features:
- Quickly Switched Access for Dual Output Sensors
- Internally earth grounded for noise reduction
- Accepts inputs from up to 6 Dual Output Sensors (12 measurement channels)
- Provides a switched output from remotely installed dual output sensors to a data collector through a 2 BNC, or 1 BNC and 2 Pin MIL spec connector
- Quick-release input terminal blocks for easy field wiring
- No punch-outs are provided in the enclosure for cable entry. Users may install any fitting required.
The SB142 standard size, fiberglass switch box is used to convert the three-conductor input wiring of up to eight remotely installed dual-output accelerometers or piezo velocity sensors to two switched BNC connectors and one switched two-pin MIL spec connector for portable data collection. Input wiring from each sensor is connected to the outputs via spring cage or screw terminal blocks. Each terminal block includes inputs for signal, temperature, negative, and shield. The shield drain wire is earth grounded via a ground stud that is mounted to the side of the fiberglass enclosure. Additionally, the SB142 comes equipped with built-in online expansion jacks. To utilize this feature, simply purchase JB905-1A (4 positions, spring cage plug) or JB905-2A (44 positions, screw terminal plug) and connect your output wiring for continuous, live readings. Please note, JB905-1A and JB905-2A are sold separately. One JB905-1A or JB905-2A plug is required per six channels of measurement.
Rated for Nema 4X (IP66), the SB142 can withstand harsh environments including temperatures ranging from -58° to 180°F (-50° to 82°C). The box is also resistant to hose-directed fluid and corrosion. A snap latch is installed on the door allowing the box to be sealed from the elements when not in use.
