The Comptus 2304 Rain Gauge is an economical tipping bucket style rain gauge. Its simplicity of design assures accurate rate of rainfall measurement and hassle-free operation. The 8" funnel component is manufactured to US National Weather Service specifications. The rain gauge housing, tipping bucket supports and the tipping bucket are fabricated from 304 stainless steel, PVC and aluminum.
A ceramic magnet mounted in a recess on the tipping bucket activates a proximity switch to provide a contact closure at every calibrated tip of the tipping bucket. Specific calibrations for the bucket style rain gauge may be specified at the time of ordering. Each Comptus Rain Gauge or Rain Gauge Transmitter system includes a detailed instruction manual.
