This HDMI matrix extender can connect eight HDMI sources to sixteen output displays. This is accomplished using four HDMI outputs mirrored to four HDBaseT outputs that run simultaneously. The HDBaseT output allows video signals to be extended to longer ranges than a standard HDMI cable. When using 1080p resolution, the signal can travel up to 492ft / 150m and 394ft / 120m at 4K.
Connectivity
The maximum resolution of this matrix is 4K at60Hz (YUV 4:4:4) on all HDMI and HDBaseT ports. Data transmission is lossless and uncompressed, having a maximum bandwidth of 18Gbps, ensuring pure signal transfer for maximum image quality. The BG-UM88-150L-KIT utilizes HDMI 2.0b. The device is also HDCP 2.2 and HDCP 1.x compliant.
Operators also have the ability to downscale video from 4K to 1080p if necessary for each output port. Power over cable is supported on all HDBaseT ports, eliminating the need for an external power supply at the HDBaseT receiver.
HDMI audio pass-through allows operators to handle high quality sound up to 7.1 CH HD audio. Various audio codecs are also supported, including LPCM, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master Audio. Audio can be de-embedded from the unit as well via analog and digital coax ports.
Control
The BG-UM88-150L-KIT can be controlled via buttons on the front panel, an IR remote, RS-232, LAN, and a web GUI.
