TheKL1516AIMUKIT 16-Port CAT 5 Dual Rail 17" LCD KVM Switch Kit is comprised of a KL1516AIM switch unit and twelve KA7970 cables. The switch features an independently retractable dual slide 17" LCD monitor and keyboard with a built-in touchpad. A single KL1516AIMK switch can control up to 16 computers and uses RJ-45 connectors and CAT5e/6 cables to link to the computers for reliability and efficiency. The twelve included cables can be used to connect the switch to any combination of Windows, Mac, and Sun operating computers, as well as serial devices. An additional four cables can be added for using all sixteen KVM ports.

Utilizing KVM Adapter Cables for the final linkup, the KL1516AIM permits any combination of Windows computers, Macs, Sun computers, and serial devices to coexist on the installation.
The KL1516AIM features IP-based connectivity that allows local and remote operators to monitor and access the computers on your installation. Because it uses TCP/IP for its communications protocol, it can be accessed from any computer on the LAN, WAN, or Internet, anywhere.
