Send data directly to Excel - No Software Wedge Required.The Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS SmartCable USB Keyboard single gage interface connects the United Testing Systems Tru-Blue II Hardness Tester to your data collection system. This interface cable links the Tru-Blue II Hardness Tester to the SmartCable Keyboard using a 9-pin RS232C male connector- no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard gage interface with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the Tru-Blue II Hardness Tester to be recognized as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required!
This SmartCable Keyboard gage interface will make the Tru-Blue II readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or Explorer based SPC program, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear and trigger a reading.
Readings can be triggered from the Tru-Blue II Hardness Tester only. The tester is not set up to receive commands from an external device.Simple to use:LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of this SmartCable Keyboard gage interface. This SmartCable Keyboard is easily configured to send data readings in different modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
A detailed operation manual is included with this SmartCable Keyboard. Advanced Systems & Designs sets the SmartCable Keyboard at the factory to the default settings on the United Testing Systems Tru-Blue II Hardness Tester. Make sure both the SmartCable and Tru-Blue II Hardness Tester are set to the same values in order for proper communication to occur.
