Send data directly to Excel - No Software Wedge Required.This Advanced Systems and Designs gage interface with keyboard output sends data directly to Microsoft Excel, Explorer-based SPC programs, or other spreadsheet programs without using a software wedge. This Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable Keyboard single gage interface connects the Stanford Research Systems QCM200 Digital Controller to a computer using a 9-pin male cable connector - no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the SmartCable USB Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge will allow Stanford Research Systems Quartz Crystal Microbalance Digital Controller to be identified as a keyboard device and send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required. The SmartCable Keyboard gage interface will make the Stanford Research Systems (SRS) Digital Controller readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard. Eliminate data collection errors! If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.
Readings are based on the display mode of the QCM200 and are triggered by the following:
- Pressing the button on the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface
- Depressing a connected footswitch or handswitch (not included)
LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable gage interface. This SmartCable Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your Excel spreadsheet such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by easily adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the SmartCable Keyboard to the default settings on the Stanford Research Systems QCM200 Digital Controller. Make sure both the SmartCable gage interface and Stanford Research Systems Digital Controller are set to the same values.
