Sends the displayed reading to GageMux or similar devices.This FlashCable gage interface is engineered to modify the output on the Mahr Federal or Fowler Portable Pocket Surface Roughness Gage to Mitutoyo Digimatic format. The special female connector on the Advanced Systems & Designs FlashCable gage interface connects to the Mahr Federal or Fowler Portable Pocket Surf internal gage connection port. This FlashCable gage interface is designed to work with GageMux gage interface or comparable devices that recognize the Mitutoyo Digimatic signal.
The FlashCable gage interface does not draw any power from the portable pocket surf gage. When connected to the GageMux, pin 9 of the 10-pin input port provides power to the FlashCable gage interface. On devices other than GageMux, pin 9 on the input port connector needs to provide 5v DC power supply to the FlashCable gage interface in order for it to work properly.
When the FlashCable gage interface is properly connected to, and powered by, the GageMux, the LED on the FlashCable turns solid GREEN. The LED flickers to RED when the data is being sent from the gage.
The data transfer is automatically triggered after a reading is taken on the Mahr Federal / Fowler Portable Pocket Surface Roughness GageA detailed operation manual is included with this FlashCable gage interface. Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the FlashCable gage interface from the factory to the default settings on the Mahr Federal or Fowler Portable Pocket Surf gage. The Mahr Federal or Fowler Portable Pocket Surf gage and FlashCable gage interface must be set to the same values.
