This Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single-gage interface connects the Ohaus Explorer Pro Precision Balance to a computer. Gage interface cable connects the Ohaus Explorer Pro Balance to the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface using a 9-pin female cable connector-no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable™ Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the SmartCable™ Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the SmartCable® gage interface to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required. The SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface will make the Ohaus Explorer Pro Series Balance digital readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or Explorer based SPC software programs, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.
