Features:
- Digimatic output FlashCable gage interface cable for the Ohaus Defender Series Bench Scale
- Sends data to GageMux or devices that recognize the Mitutoyo Digimatic signal
- Several options to trigger data
Send data to GageMux gage interface or other Digimatic devices. The durable Ohaus Defender Series Bench Scale is designed for general weighing and simple counting in production and the warehouse. This FlashCable gage interface is designed to change the output on the Ohaus Defender Series Bench Scale to an output in a Mitutoyo Digimatic format. The male connector on the Advanced Systems & Designs FlashCable gage interface cable connects to the 9-pin female connector on the Ohaus Defender Series Bench Scale. This FlashCable gage interface is engineered to work with GageMux multi-input gage interface or related devices that recognize the Mitutoyo Digimatic signal.
The FlashCable does not obtain any power from the gage. When connected to the GageMux interface, pin 9 of the GageMux input port provides the power to the FlashCable gage interface. If using devices other than the GageMux, ensure that pin 9 of the 10-pin connector provides a 5V DC power supply to the FlashCable.
When the FlashCable is connected properly to the GageMux, the LED on the FlashCable turns GREEN. The LED briefly changes to RED when the data is being sent or a data request is triggered.
If you need to send data directly to Excel or other spreadsheet programs, see 600-22-OHAUSD3000-KB-USB SmartCable keyboard single-gage interface cable.
The data transfer can be triggered using any of the following methods:
- Using the print/units button on the Ohaus Defender Series Bench Scale
- Using the Footswitch on the GageMux USB or equivalent triggering method
- Using 300-1S in-line handswitch
- Using a Footswitch on the FlashCable (not included)
- Sending a gage read command from the computer to the gage
The Advanced Systems & Designs factory communication settings on the FlashCable gage interface are the default settings on the Ohaus Defender Series Bench Scale. The Ohaus Defender Series Bench Scale and FlashCable gage interface need to be set to the same values in order for proper communication to occur. Refer to the Ohaus Defender Series instruction manual for more information on external communication.Six foot standard cable length.
