Send data to GageMux gage interface or other Digimatic input devices.This FlashCable gage interface will change the output on the Ohaus AX Series Adventure Precision Balance to an output in a Digimatic format. The 9-pin male connector on the Advanced Systems & Designs FlashCable connects directly to the female connector on the Ohaus AX Series Precision Balance.
FlashCable gage interface is designed to work with GageMux gage interface and similar devices that recognize the Mitutoyo Digimatic signal. The FlashCable gage interface receives power from the GageMux gage interface. When using a multiple input gage interface device other than the GageMux make sure pin 9 of the 10-pin connector provides a 5v DC supply to the FlashCable interface cable. The LED on the FlashCable turns GREEN when it is properly connected and powered. The LED will briefly turn RED when the data is being sent or a data request is triggered.
The data transfer can be triggered using any of the following methods:
- Using the data send button on the Ohaus AX Series Adventure Precision Balance
- Using 300-1S in-line handswitch
- Using a Footswitch on the FlashCable (not included)
- Using the Footswitch on the GageMux USB (or equivalent triggering method on similar devices)
- Sending a read command from the computer to the Ohaus AX Series Precision Balance
This FlashCable gage interface includes a detailed operation manual. Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the FlashCable gage interface to the default settings on the Ohaus Adventure Precision Balance. The Ohaus AX Series Precision Balance and FlashCable gage interface must be set to the same RS232 communication values. Refer to the Ohaus AX Series Adventure Precision Balance instruction manual for more information on RS232 communication. Six foot standard cable length.
