The Ohaus Adventurer Precision Electronic Balance with its RS232 DB9 interface port can fulfill many laboratory weight and measurement accuracy requirements. This ASDQMS - Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single gage interface connects to the Ohaus Adventurer AX Series Electronic Balance using a 9-pin male cable connector-no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal. Connecting the ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer allows the Ohaus AX Series Electronic Balance to be identified as a keyboard device. Data can be sent to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required. The SmartCable Keyboard will make the Ohaus Adventurer Electronic Balance readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard computer keyboard to eliminate data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or Explorer based SPC software program, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear and trigger the reading.
A detailed operation manual is included with each ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. This SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single gage interface is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet such as, CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable™ Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws. LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single gage interface.
