Send data directly to Excel - No Software Wedge Required.This Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS SmartCable USB Keyboard single gage interface connects the Mettler Toledo AB / PB / SB Precision Balance to a computer. Connects the Mettler Toledo SB Precision Balance to the ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard gage interface using a 9-pin male cable connector- no additional cables required. The output of the ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard gage interface is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the Mettler Toledo Precision Balance to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required. The Advanced Systems and Designs SmartCable Keyboard will make the Mettler Toledo SB Precision Balance readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.
Readings can be triggered by the following:
- Pressing the PRINT button on the Mettler Toledo SB Precision Balance
- Pressing the button on the ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard
- Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)
LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable USB gage interface. This ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard gage interface is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
A detailed operation manual is included with this SmartCable Keyboard gage interface. At the factory Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the SmartCable Keyboard to the default settings on the Mettler Toledo SB Precision Balance. Make sure both the SmartCable and Mettler Precision Balance are set to the same values. Refer to the Mettler Toledo PG-S Precision Balance operating instructions and Mettler Toledo standard interface reference manual for more information on external communication.
