Send data directly to Excel - No Software Wedge Required.Connect the Mettler Toledo MS-S or MS-L Series New Classic Balance to a computer using this SmartCable USB Keyboard single gage interface. The MS Series New Classic Balance is an all-around balance. With its improved stability features, the MS Series Balance offers readability down to 0.1 mg. This SmartCable connects to the Mettler Toledo MS Series Balance using a 9-pin male cable connector - no additional cables required.
The output of the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal. Connecting the SmartCable USB Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the SmartCable interface cable to be identified as a keyboard device that allows the Mettler MS Series balance send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required.
The SmartCable Keyboard will make the Mettler Toledo MS Series New Classic Balance readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or Explorer based SPC software programs, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear and trigger a reading.
Readings can be triggered by the following:
- Pressing the Print / Transmit button on the Mettler Toledo MS New Classic Balance
- Pressing the button on the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface
- Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)
LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable USB Keyboard gage interface. This SmartCable Keyboard gage interface is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
A detailed operation manual is included with this SmartCable Keyboard gage interface. By default, Advanced Systems & Designs sets the SmartCable Keyboard to the default settings on the Mettler Toledo Electronic Balance. Make sure both the SmartCable and Mettler Balance are set to the same values. Refer to the Mettler Toledo MS-S / MS-L Model Balance operating instructions for more information on setting external communication. Six foot standard cable length.
