Send data directly to Excel - No Software Wedge Required.This Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS SmartCable USB Keyboard single gage interface connects the Mettler Toledo ICS Series Weighing System to a computer and sends real-time data to Excel or other spreadsheet programs. Connects the Mettler Toledo Weighing System to the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface using a 8-pin M12 cable connector - no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the SmartCable Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the Mettler Toledo Weighing System to be identified as a keyboard device that can send real-time data to any Microsoft Windows application (like Excel) or Explorer based SPC program - no complicated software wedge required.
The ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard will make the ICS Series Weighing System readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect SPC data into a Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet applications, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.
Readings can be triggered from the Mettler Toledo Weighing System by the following methods:
- Pressing the TRANSFER button on the Mettler Toledo Weighing System
- Pressing the data send button on the SmartCable Keyboard interface cable
- Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)
A detailed operation manual is included with this SmartCable Keyboard gage interface. Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the SmartCable Keyboard to the default settings on the Mettler Toledo ICS Series Weighing System. Make sure both the SmartCable gage interface and Mettler Toledo Weighing System are set to the same values. Refer to the Mettler Toledo Weighing Systems User Manual for more information on RS-232C communication with external devices.
LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard. This SmartCable Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
