Advanced Systems & Designs, 600-22-MitutoyoKLD-MTI, FlashCable Gage Interface for Mitutoyo Series 174 KLD / KA Counter
Features:
- Digimatic output FlashCable for Mitutoyo Series 174 KLD or KA Counter or Unite-a-Matic 8600
- Sends data to GageMux or devices that recognize the Digimatic Signal
- Several options to trigger data
Send data to GageMux gage interface or other Digimatic input devices. This FlashCable gage interface is engineered to change the output on the Mitutoyo Series 174 KLD or KA Counter or Unite-a-Matic 8600 to an output in a digimatic format. The special 25-Pin male connector on the Advanced Systems & Designs FlashCable gage interface connects directly to the 25-Pin female connector on the Mitutoyo KLD Series 174 or KA Counter. Designed to work with GageMux gage interface or other similar devices that recognize the Mitutoyo Digimatic signal.
The FlashCable does not obtain any power from the gage. When connected to the GageMux, pin 9 of the 10-pin input port provides the power to the FlashCable. If using devices, other than the GageMux, make sure pin 9 of the 10-pin connector provides a 5VDC supply to the FlashCable gage interface. When the FlashCable is connected to the GageMux, the LED on the FlashCable turns GREEN. This indicates that the FlashCable is connected properly. The LED turns RED when the data is being sent or a data request is triggered.
The data transfer can be triggered using any of the following methods:
- Using the data send button on the Mitutoyo Series 174 KLD or KA Counter or Unite-a-Matic 8600 (if it has one)
- Using 300-1S in-line handswitch
- Using a footswitch on the FlashCable gage interface (not included)
- Using the footswitch on the GageMux USB (or equivalent triggering method on similar devices)
- Sending a gage read command from the computer to the gage
A detailed operation manual is included with this FlashCable gage interface. The communication parameters can be changed and reconfigured per requirements for both the FlashCable and the Mitutoyo Series 174 KLD or KA Counter or Unite-a-Matic 8600. Advanced Systems & Designs sets the FlashCable to the default settings on the Mitutoyo KLD Series 174 or KA Counter. Refer to the device operating manual to make sure both it is set to the same communication settings as the FlashCable gage interface. Use the GageMux USB manual to see the FlashCable gage interface reconfiguration instructions. Six foot standard cable length.
