Send data to directly to Excel or other spreadsheet programs.This Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS SmartCable USB Keyboard single gage interface connects the Mahr Federal Millitron 832 Electronic Amplifier to a computer. The 9-pin female connector on this Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable USB Keyboard connects directly to the male connector on the Millitron 832 Probe Style Electronic Amplifier. - no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the Millitron 832 Electronic Amplifier to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required.
The SmartCable Keyboard will make the Mahr Millitron 832 Probe Style Electronic Amplifier readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or Explorer based SPC program, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.
Readings can be triggered by any of the following:
- Depressing the push button on the ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard interface
- Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)
- Pressing the send data button on the Mahr Federal 832 Electronic Amplifier
This SmartCable Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different modes, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, right and continuous reading. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
