Advanced Systems & Designs, 600-22-METAE200-MTI, FlashCable for Mettler Toledo AE Balance with Data Interface
Features:
- Digimatic output FlashCable for the Mettler Toledo AE Precision Balance with optional data interface
- Sends data to GageMux or devices that recognize the Digimatic Signal
- Several options to trigger data
Send data to GageMux or other Digimatic devices. The Advanced Systems and Designs FlashCable gage interface is engineered to convert the output on the Mettler Toledo AE Series Precision Balance with optional 011 / 012 Data Interface to an 10-pin output in a Mitutoyo Digimatic format. Using a 25-pin male connector, this FlashCable gage interface is designed to work with GageMux gage interface or other SPC data acquisition systems that recognize the Mitutoyo Digimatic signal.
The FlashCable does not obtain any power from the Mettler Toledo Balance. When connected to the GageMux gage interface, pin 9 of the 10-pin connector port provides the power to the FlashCable. If used with devices other than GageMux make sure pin 9 on the connector provides a 5vDC supply to the FlashCable gage interface.
Data transfer can be triggered using any of the following methods:
- Using the data send button or footswitch port on the Mettler Toledo AE Precision Balance, if it has one
- Using 300-1S in-line handswitch
- Using the Footswitch on the GageMux (or equivalent triggering method)
- Sending a gage read command from the computer to the GageMux gage interface with 012 Bi-Directional data interface
Note: The Mettler Toledo Data Interface 012 is Bi-Directional and will receive communications from the FlashCable. Data Interface 011 is not Bi-Directional and is not able to accept commands from the FlashCable. In this case data must be sent from the 011 Interface using the data send or a footswitch directly connected to the electronic balance. Please determine which data interface you are using so that we are able to meet your requirements.
A detailed operation manual is included with this FlashCable gage interface. At the factory, Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the FlashCable to the default settings on the Mettler Toledo AE Series 011/012 Data Interface. Both the Mettler Toledo AE Precision Balance and FlashCable must be set to the same values. Refer to the Mettler Toledo AE Precision Balance and Data Interface operating instructions for more information on external communication. Six foot standard cable length.
