Send data directly to Excel - No Software Wedge RequiredThis Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS SmartCable USB Keyboard single gage interface connects the Keyence LJ-V7000 Series Profilometer to a computer. Attaches the Keyence High Speed In-Line Profilometer to the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface using a 6-pin RJ Ethernet male connector cable connector - no additional cables required.
This multi-field ASDQMS SmartCable USB gage interface allows the user to output up to 16 fields in Excel or Explorer based SPC programs with the push of a button. The output of the SmartCable Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal. Connecting the SmartCable Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the Keyence In-Line Profilometer to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required.
The ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard gage interface will make the Keyence LJ-V7000 Series Profilometer digital readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates SPC data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or Explorer based SPC software program, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.
Readings can be triggered from the Keyence LJ-V7000 Series Profilometer by any of the following:
- Pressing the push button on the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface
- Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)
- Pressing the print / send button on the Keyence LJ-V7000 Series Profilometer, if it has one
This SmartCable Keyboard gage interface is easily configured to output data from the Keyence LJ-V7000 Series Profilometer in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, or multiple TABs followed by CR. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws. LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable gage interface.
A detailed operation manual is included with this SmartCable Keyboard gage interface. Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS normally sets the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface to the default settings on the Keyence LJ-V7000 Series Profilometer. Make sure both the SmartCable and Keyence High Speed In-Line Profilometer are set to the same values.
