Send data to Excel - no software wedge requiredThis Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable USB Keyboard single gage interface connects the Mitutoyo KA Counter 200 Series to a computer. Connects to the Mitutoyo KA Counter using a 25-pin male cable connector - no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal. NOTE: Mitutoyo KA counter must have the optional 06AET993 RS232 code out unit.
Connecting the SmartCable Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the Mitutoyo KA Counter to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required. The SmartCable Keyboard gage interface will make the Mitutoyo 200 Series KA Counter digital readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or Explored based SPC software program, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.
LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable gage interface. This SmartCable Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different modes on your spreadsheet. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
This SmartCable Keyboard gage interface works with both the Mitutoyo KA-212 174-183A with 2-axes and KA-213 174-185A with 3-axes KA counter. Sends data from X, Y, and Z (on 3-axes counters).
Offers multiple, user selected, options for data output:
- X only followed by CR or TAB
- Y only followed by CR or TAB
- Z only followed by CR or TAB
- X & Y followed by CR or TAB
- X, Y, & Z followed by CR or TAB
Readings can be triggered by any of the following:
- Pressing the button on the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface
- Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)
- Pressing the send button on the gage (if it has one)
