Send data directly to Excel - No Software Wedge RequiredThis Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS SmartCable USB Keyboard single gage interface connects the Hioki 3560 AC HiTester Digital Readout to a computer. Attaches the Hioki 3560 AC HiTester Display to the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface using a 9-pin female cable connector - no additional cables required.
This SmartCable USB gage interface allows the user to output 2 fields (Resistance and Voltage) in Excel or Explorer based SPC programs with the push of a button. The output of the SmartCable Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal. Connecting the SmartCable Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the SmartCable to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required.
The SmartCable Keyboard gage interface will make the Hioki 3560 AC HiTester Display readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates SPC data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or Explorer based SPC software program, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.
Readings can be triggered from the Hioki 3560 AC HiTester Display by any of the following:
- Pressing the push button on the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface
- Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)
- Pressing the print / send button Hioki 3560 AC HiTester Display
This ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard gage interface is easily configured to output data from the Hioki 3560 AC HiTester Display in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, or multiple TABs followed by CR. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws. LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable gage interface.
A detailed operation manual is included with this SmartCable Keyboard gage interface. Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface to the default settings on the Hioki 3560 AC HiTester Display. Make sure both the SmartCable and Hioki 3560 Display are set to the same values. Refer to the Hioki 3560 AC HiTester Display instruction manual for more information on external communication.
