Send data to Excel - without using software wedges.This Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS SmartCable USB Keyboard single gage interface connects the Fowler Sylvac HI-Cal Electronic Height Gage to a computer. Connects the Fowler Sylvac HI-Cal Electronic Height Gage to the ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard gage interface using a 9-pin male cable connector - no additional cables or software required. The output of the SmartCable Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the Fowler Sylvac HI-Cal Electronic Height Gage to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required. The SmartCable Keyboard will make the Fowler Sylvac HI-Cal Electronic Height Gage readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or Explorer based SPC software, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.
Readings can be triggered by the following:
- Using the FCT Print Function on the Fowler Sylvac HI-Cal Electronic Height Gage
- Pressing the button on the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface
- Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)
LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable gage interface. This SmartCable Keyboard gage interface is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
A detailed operation manual is included with this ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard gage interface. Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface to the default settings on the Fowler Sylvac HI-Cal Electronic Height Gage. Make sure both the SmartCable and Fowler Sylvac HI-Cal Electronic Height Gage are set to the same values. Refer to the Fowler Sylvac HI-Cal Electronic Height Gage operating instructions for more information on communication using remote commands. Six foot standard cable length.
