Send data directly to Excel - No Software Wedge RequiredThe Advanced Systems and Designs (ASDQMS) gage interface with keyboard output Sends data directly to Microsoft Excel, Explorer-based SPC programs, or other spreadsheet programs without using complicated software wedges. This Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable USB Keyboard, single gage interface, connects the CDI-Suretest Model 5000 Torque Calibration System to a computer. Connects the CDI-Suretest to the SmartCable Keyboard using a 9-pin female cable connector - no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge will allow the SmartCable gage interface to be identified as a keyboard device that can Send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required. The SmartCable Keyboard gage interface will make the CDI-Suretest Model 5000 Torque Calibration System digital readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.
Readings can be triggered by:
- Pressing the Send button on the CDI-Suretest Model 5000 Torque Calibration System
- Pressing a footswitch connected to the back of the CDI-Suretest
LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the ASDQMS SmartCable gage interface. This SmartCable Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
A detailed operation manual is included with this ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard gage interface. Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS normally sets the SmartCable Keyboard to 9600 baud rate for the CDI-Suretest Model 5000 Torque Calibration System. Make sure both the SmartCable gage interface and CDI-Suretest Torque Calibration System are set to the same values. Refer to the CDI-Suretest Model 5000 Torque Calibration System user manual for more information on external communication.
