Send data directly to Excel - No Software Wedge RequiredThis Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable USB Keyboard single gage interface connects the A&D M Series Moisture Analyzer to a computer (includes the MS, MX, MF, ML Series). Attaches the A&D M Series Moisture Analyzer to the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface using a 25-pin male cable connector - no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the SmartCable USB Keyboard gage interface with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the A&D M Series Moisture Analyzer to be identified as a keyboard device that can Send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required. The SmartCable Keyboard will make the A&D M Series Moisture Analyzer readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear and trigger a reading.
Readings can be triggered by the following:
- Pressing a ENTER key on the A&D M Series Moisture Analyzer
- Pressing the button on the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface
- Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)
A detailed operation manual is included with this SmartCable Keyboard gage interface. At the factory, Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the SmartCable Keyboard to the default settings on the A&D M Series Moisture Analyzer. Make sure both the SmartCable and A&D Moisture Analyzer are set to the same values. Refer to the A&D M Series Moisture Analyzer instruction manual for more information on connecting the serial interface to a computer.
LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface. This SmartCable Keyboard gage interface is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
