Send data directly to Excel - No Software Wedge RequiredThis Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS SmartCable USB Keyboard, single gage interface, connects the A&D HR-A / AZ Series Balance to your data collection system. Connects the A&D Analytical Balance to the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface using a 9-pin female cable connector - no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the A&D HR-A / HR-AZ Series Analytical Balance to be identified as a keyboard device that can Send data to any Microsoft Windows application, like Excel, or other internet explorer based SPC program - no complicated software wedge required.
This ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard gage interface will make the A & D HR Analytical Balance readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect SPC data into a Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet applications, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear and trigger a reading.
Readings can be triggered by the following:
- Pressing the PRINT button on the A&D HR-A / HR-AZ Series Analytical Balance
- Pressing the button on the ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard gage interface
- Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)
A detailed operation manual is included with this SmartCable Keyboard. Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the SmartCable Keyboard to the default settings on the A&D HR Series Analytical Balance. Make sure both the SmartCable and A&D Balance are set to the same values. Refer to the A&D HR Series Balance instruction manual for more information on external communication.
Easy to Use!LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard gage interface. This SmartCable Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
