Advanced Systems & Designs, 600-22-ANDFC-MTI, Digimatic FlashCable for A&D FC-i / FC-Si Counting Scale
- Digimatic output FlashCable for A&D FC Series Counting Scale
- Sends data to GageMux or other devices that recognize the Digimatic signal
- Several options to trigger data
Send data to GageMux gage interface or other Digimatic input devicesThe FC-i / FC-Si Series balances are high-resolution counting scales. Using the standard RS-232C serial interface on the balance you are able to Send data through this FlashCable and GageMux USB interface to your data collection software program. This FlashCable gage interface is engineered to change the output on the A&D Counting Scale to an output in a Mitutoyo Digimatic format. The 9-pin female connector on the Advanced Systems & Designs FlashCable Digimatic gage interface connects to the RS232C serial interface male connector on the A&D Counting Scale.
This FlashCable Digimatic gage interface is designed to work with GageMux gage interface or other similar devices that recognize the Mitutoyo Digimatic signal. The FlashCable does not obtain any power from the gage. When connected to the GageMux, pin 9 of the 10-pin input port provides the power to the FlashCable gage interface. If using devices, other than the GageMux pin 9 of the input connector must provide 5v DC power supply to the FlashCable gage interface. The LED on the FlashCable will turn GREEN to indicate that the FlashCable gage interface is connected properly. The LED briefly flashes RED when the data is being sent or a data request is triggered using the following.
The data transfer can be triggered using any of the following methods:
- Using the PRINT key on the A&D FC Series Counting Scale
- Using 300-1S in-line handswitch
- Using a Footswitch on the FlashCable (not included)
- Using the Footswitch on the GageMux USB (or equivalent triggering method on similar devices)
- Sending a device read command from the host computer
A comprehensive operation manual is included with this FlashCable gage interface. Advanced Systems & Designs sets the FlashCable at the factory to the default settings on the A&D FC Series Scale. Refer to the A&D FC-i / FC-Si Series Counting Scale instruction manual for more information on external communication with peripheral devices.
Six foot standard interface cable length.
