Send data to GageMux gage interface or other Digimatic input devicesThis FlashCable gage interface is engineered to change the output on the Acu-Rite 200 / 300S Readout Display to an output in a Mitutoyo Digimatic format. The female connector on the Advanced Systems & Designs FlashCable gage interface connects directly to the 9-pin male RS-232-C data interface serial port connector on the Acu-Rite 200 / 300S Readout.
This FlashCable interface is designed to work with GageMux gage interface or other similar devices that recognize the Mitutoyo Digimatic signal. The FlashCable receives power from GageMux gage interface or other similar Digimatic input devices. If you are using devices other than GageMux multiple input gage interface, make sure pin 9 of the 10-pin input connector provides a 5 volt DC supply to the FlashCable interface cable.
The LED on the FlashCable will turn GREEN when properly connected to GageMux gage interface or other similar Digimatic input devices. The LED turns RED when the data is triggered or a data request is triggered.
Note: The Acu-Rite 200/300S Readout Display has two operating modes - Incremental and Absolute (Actual Value). The actual value mode used for this FlashCable Interface and records the current "actual" position of the tool.
The real-time data transfer can be triggered using any of the following methods:
- Using the external footswitch port on the Acu-Rite 200 /300S Readout
- Pressing the PRINT key on the Acu-Rite 200 / 300 Readout
- Using the Footswitch port on the GageMux USB (or equivalent triggering method on similar devices)
- Using a Footswitch on the FlashCable (not included)
