Send data directly to Excel - No Software Wedge RequiredThis Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable USB Keyboard single-gage interface connects the MarCal 31 EW, 800 EWR, MahrTest 800 EWL or Fowler Sylvac QuadraTest MultiMode Electronic Test Indicator and others (with opto duplex connector) to a computer. Commonly used with Mahr or Fowler Sylvac gages such as Test Indicators, Mini Electronic Indicators and IP67 Indicators, this SmartCable USB with keyboard output connects directly to the gage - no additional cables required.
The output of the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal. This SmartCable Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge allows the Fowler Sylvac QuadraTest MultiMode Indicator to be identified as a keyboard device that can Send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required. Never again struggle when your software changes. Our Keyboard interface always works when your operating or SPC software is updated.
The SmartCable Keyboard gage interface will make the gage readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard to eliminate data collection errors. If you want to collect inspection data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or SPC program, select the cell where you want the data to appear and trigger one of the data Send options.
Readings can be triggered by any of the following:
- Pressing the push button on the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface
- Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)
This SmartCable Keyboard can be quickly configured to output data in different modes, such as TAB, CR, up, down, left, right and continuous reading. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard. Access the rotary switch by loosening two Phillips screws and removing the top cover. A helpful operation manual is included with each SmartCable Keyboard gage interface.
