Gas Regulators

Gas regulators must be attached to cylinders and include a reducing valve that regulates or controls the gas or pressure applied to operate instruments.

Compressed gas regulators lessen the high pressure of the stored gas in the cylinder to lower pressures that may be safely stored in the operating system. These regulators don’t handle the gas flow measuring unless they include a flow meter. Compressed gas regulators only lessen the high pressure from the cylinder to a lower, more valuable pressure.

Pipeline gas regulators include a forged brass body and a housing cap. These regulators are used with gas distribution systems in medium to heavy-duty flow applications.
