Generally, a fitting is attached to the end of the pipe thus allowing reverse direction, regulating the flow, and changing the size of the pipe. Fittings can be welded or threaded depending on the material they are made of.
A T-fitting has a T shape. It includes two outlets at an angle of 90° each and one inlet. It is applied for joining pipes at a 90° angle.
A Y-Type fitting is similar to a T-fitting but has a side intake pipe that joins at a 45° angle. A standard Y-type fitting allows the pipe to be joined to another at a 45° angle.
