Series A500 2" backset Mortise Lock case has a unique design. It features a stainless steel latch bolt and a full 1" throw solid stainless steel deadbolt. The exposed metal buttons are well-finished to match the appearance of the stainless steel latch and deadbolt.
Function: Entrance with Egress
Latch by thumb piece outside except when the outside is locked by the stop button or project deadbolt. Latch deadlocked by auxiliary latch or deadbolt. Deadbolt and latch by key from outside. Deadbolt by turn piece from inside. The inside knob retracts the latch and deadbolt simultaneously and automatically unlocks the outside knob/lever. The stop button relocks the outside thumb piece.
